How to Prepare

This Elixir can be enjoyed iced or hot for a nourishing drink, or added to smoothies or other recipes. Explore our Elixir Recipes for inspiration.

Hot Elixir: 1 TSP (5 g) Matcha Mind + 1TSP Coconut Oil + 1TSP Honey + 8OZ (236ML) Hot Water, Tea or Nut Mylk. Combine in blender. Makes 1 serving.

Cold Elixir: 1 TSP (5 g) Matcha Mind + 8OZ (236ML) Nut Mylk + 1TSP Honey. Combine in blender, pour over ice. Makes 1 serving.

Important Note: To effectively control moisture within the package the use of a desiccant is recommended. It is included in the packaging and should be kept with the product while stored, tightly closed when the product is not in use.

How much caffeine is in each Elixir? Which Elixirs are caffeinated?

Our Kickstart Elixir contains roughly 14.17 mg of caffeine per serving, and our Matcha Mind Elixir contains approximately43.65 mg of caffeine per serving. Our 5 Mushoom Chocolate and Golden Mylk Elixirs are not caffeinated.

What is the mushroom content in each Elixir?

Each serving (1 TSP or 5g) of 5 Mushroom Cacao contains approximately 0.27g of our 5 Mushroom Concentrated Mushroom Powder. [New formula = 0.5g/tsp]

Each serving (1 TSP or 5g) of Matcha Mind contains approximately 0.5g of our Lion’s Mane Concentrated Mushroom Powder. [New formula = 0.878g/tsp]

Our Kickstart and Golden Mylk Elixir formulas do not contain any functional mushrooms.

What is the shelf life of each Elixir?

Unopened, our 5 Mushroom Cacao, Matcha Mind, and Kickstart Elixirs have a shelf life of 2 years, and our Golden Mylk Elixir has a shelf life of 1 year. Once opened, we strongly recommend consuming the product within 6 months, and you can refrigerate your Elixir to maintain freshness.

What time of day should I take my Elixir?

Matcha Mind and Kickstart contain caffeine and may be best enjoyed earlier in the day, or when you need a pick-me-up. Our Golden Mylk and 5 Mushroom Cacao Elixirs provide a wonderful way to unwind when you need a moment of calm.

Is it okay to take different types of Elixirs throughout the day?

Yes, although we strongly advise limiting intake to one serving of each Elixir daily to ensure a balanced and safe experience.

Can I add more mushrooms to my Elixir? Can I add Tincture Blends?

Our Elixirs can be elevated with Mushroom Powders and Tinctures, our herbal Tincture Blends, and/or our loose-leaf Artisan Teas. Discover our favourite ways to craft Elixirs here.

Does the heat affect the antioxidants of the ingredients in my Elixir?

Adding boiling water to make your Elixir will not affect the antioxidant content. If exposed to high heat over time (e.g. being cooked at 100+ degrees Celsius for 20 minutes or more), the antioxidant content will begin to reduce.

Do you offer a refill option?

We are unable to offer a bulk “refill” option for our Elixirs at this time. Some of our retailers are refilleries, and offer bulk options for our products. Use our Store Locator to find a Refillery near you.
