Our Concentrated Mushroom Powders are one of our best-selling products – and for good reason! They feature 100% fruiting body mushrooms at potent extract ratios and are packed with essential polysaccharides that support our wellness. They’re steam extracted, water-soluble, and formulated without any fillers. We stand by our decision to exclude fillers so that you can experience the potent benefits of a high-quality product, but this means that the powder can harden if the jar is exposed to moisture. While our Mushroom Powders are still safe to consume if they’ve hardened, we understand this can be a frustrating experience. Read on to learn our tips for ensuring the freshness of our Concentrated Mushroom Powders.
New to Our Mushroom Powders?
Sourced from organic farms that value sustainability, our mushrooms are cultivated using traditional methods that ensure the fruiting bodies contain essential nutrients that support our wellness.
At Harmonic Arts, we work with the world’s top 5 mushrooms: Chaga, Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, Reishi, and Turkey Tail. These functional fungi have been used in ancient healing systems, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, for thousands of years. Known for their ability to bring balance to the body, their rich polysaccharide and antioxidant content allows them to support immunity, energy, stress resilience, cognitive function, and more. Easily stir these powders into coffee, tea, smoothies, or your favourite recipe, and add a potent dose of mushroom medicine to your wellness routine.
How to Control Moisture
To effectively control moisture within the Mushroom Powder jar, a desiccant is always included. We recommend keeping this desiccant inside the jar, and storing your Mushroom Powder in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed.
If the lid is left off while on the counter and exposed to humidity for too long, the powder will harden. This can happen with humidity in the air, a nearby steaming kettle, or if a spoon with moisture on it is inserted into the powder.
What to Do if Your Mushroom Powder Has Hardened
If your Concentrated Mushroom Powder has hardened from exposure to moisture, we suggest any one of the following methods:
- Safely 'chip' at or scrape the hardened powder with a dry spoon to loosen.
- Run larger chunks through a coffee grinder or blend them into smoothies.
- Add some boiling water to your mushroom powder and stir to create a paste. Store in the fridge and use within 2-4 weeks.
