Our Products
Non-Toxic Ingredients
To ensure that we are offering products that are non-toxic to our customers and the environment, we rely on third-party testing and certificates of analysis.
This fiscal year, 79.12% of the products we sold met organic certification standards.
This means that these ingredients have been tested against a rigorous standard that ensures food is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, fossil-fuel based fertilizers, and genetically-modified organisms (GMOs).
To ethically sustain our production level, Harmonic Arts works with various vendors from herb brokerages to small farmers worldwide. This allows us to prioritize organic herbs whenever possible, and to consistently make effective formulas that contain high-quality herbs, mushrooms, and superfoods.

Our Products
Environmentally-Conscious Packaging
This calendar year, our core value of Sustainable Action really showed up in how we made decisions about our packaging. We did a deep review of our product and operational packaging, and considered how we might reduce the environmental footprint of this aspect of our business. This process was creative and experimental, and led us to these accomplishments:
Activities & Outcomes
Activities & Outcomes
- Our Operations team replaced single-use pallet wrap in our manufacturing facility with a reusable alternative for 99% of our operations.
- We updated our Herbal Latte packaging to reduce the amount of material used. This decision was more cost-efficient and less carbon-intensive, lowering the amount of greenhouse gas emissions per shipment!
- We modified our product offering with intention and have diverted 72,238 lbs of single-use packaging waste as a result.

Community Engagement
Collective Action for Collective Health
Alongside other member businesses of the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA), Harmonic Arts continued our participation in the Save Our Supplements campaign. This initiative started two years ago, in response to changes the federal government made in relation to increased regulation around certain health foods. These changes would have detrimental outcomes to the natural health product industry, such as removing access to some products and increasing the prices of others. This campaign asks the Minister of Health to engage with businesses in this industry to ensure these regulations best serve Canadians.

Community Engagement
Our Giving Footprint
In the 2024 fiscal year, Harmonic Arts contributed an impressive $12,627.96 to social and environmental causes, bringing our total impact-driven donations to over $81,500 to date. A highlight was our Green Friday campaign, where we donated 1% of sales to the Trans Canada Trail, supporting connections between people and nature. Locally, we continued our partnership with the Cumberland Community Forest Society. Our team also collaboratively chose four organizations focused on aiding vulnerable populations.

Community Engagement
Cultivating Community Through Service
At Harmonic Arts, we believe in the power of volunteering in one’s community as a means to create positive change and build connection. Our Community Service Volunteer Policy empowers our team members to dedicate 8 paid hours annually to causes that align with our mission. In the past year, some of our team members have embraced this opportunity. For example, we had one employee volunteer at the local Senior Support Society in Courtenay, BC. Another team member serves as a volunteer board member for the Strathcona Wilderness Institute. This non-profit’s vision is to inspire appreciation and stewardship of the natural world.

Supply Chain Partners
Building Ethical & Sustainable Partnerships
Our annual deep-dive into our supply chain relationships and outcomes shows that our purchasing decisions are increasingly aligned with our values. We believe this demonstrates the power of intentional relationship-building and engagement.
At the heart of our supply chain strategy lies our Supplier Purchasing policy and Supplier Code of Conduct. These policies helps us vet potential supply chain partners against social and environmental criteria. Through this process, we are able to better match with suppliers that reflect our values, thus creating a positive ripple effect of sustainable practices beyond our immediate operations.
What Our Purchasing Policy Screens for:
- Third-party impact certifications, such as Certified Organic or Fair-Trade ingredients
- Locally and independently-owned businesses
- Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour (BIPOC)-owned businesses
What Our Code of Conduct Requires of Suppliers:
- Compliance with best practices for fair labour, including fair compensation and safe working conditions
- Compliance with applicable environmental laws
- Respect for animal welfare
- Traceability, responsibility, and transparency of product contents

We are a Certified B Corporation!
B Corp certification is a rigorous third-party assessment of a company’s social and environmental impact across governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. Businesses must score at least 80 points on the B Impact Assessment to qualify. We value B Corp as a holistic measure of a company’s overall impact, not just individual products or processes.
Harmonic Arts has proudly been B Corp certified since 2023.
