Our Commitment to the Planet

Since the inception of Harmonic Arts in 2009, our dream has been to support the best health of individuals and the environment. We see it as our responsibility to find creative ways to “be the change we want to see in the world”.

We’re dedicated to crafting organic herbal products that are good for you, and good for the planet. Sustainable action is at the core of our everyday mission: to share the healing power of plant medicine. From our sourcing to packaging choices, we strive to carry out our daily mission in the most planet-loving way possible.

As a leader in sustainable business practices, we aim to contribute to a greener future for all. At Harmonic Arts, we prioritize using compostable packaging and recyclable glass, and avoid plastics and single-serve options. In 2021, 80% of our product packaging was either compostable or recyclable. With your help, we’ve diverted 19 tons of waste from landfills by consciously choosing packaging that has a lighter environmental footprint.

As a growing plant medicine company here on Vancouver Island, our mission of sharing the healing power of plants is intrinsically linked to helping to heal our planet. We strongly believe in the power of environmental action and strive to carry out our mission in ways that give back to the earth.

In 2021, Harmonic Arts was certified Green through Vancouver Island Green Business Collective. Environmental responsibility, sustainable action and social responsibility are at the heart of what we do, and we’re honoured to be recognized for our efforts in these areas.

At Harmonic Arts, we’re committed to protecting our local ecosystem for future generations. As members of 1% For the Planet, we donate 1% of our Elixir and Artisan Tea sales directly to the Cumberland Community Forest Society.

Over the years, we’ve found a number of ways to support the local conservation work  of the Cumberland Community Forest Society in our hometown. The organization works to buy back biodiverse forest lands that are scheduled to be logged, preserving important wildlife habitat as well as hiking and biking trails enjoyed by the community.

We’re honoured that our environmental impact is largely supported by small business, conscious consumers, and families. With your support, we’ve contributed over $76,175 to date towards these conservation efforts.

2013-2016: We raised close to $10,000 in donations from our Artisan Tea Blend sales, and the bi-annual non-profit Vancouver Island Herb Gathering we help organize.

2017-2018: We donated profits from all of our tea blends to the forest initiative in a campaign we called #teafortrees. This allowed us to raise an additional $10,000.

2019-2023: To date, we've raised over $76,175 in funds to support CCFS.
